Boy's dream shatters after having face enhancements

Ellowe Alviso, 16, dreamt of making it big in the limelight. He regularly joined talent search and competitions hoping to be an actor. He looks handsome but he was not satisfied with his nose and chin to look better. He wanted to have prominent nose and dimpled chin. One of his friends introduced him to a certain Kachika. She claimed to be an expert in injecting collagen. She assured Ellowe that there wouldn't be any side effect and infection. "I was scared at first but she assured me that there would be no infection and the effect will last for a lifetime," Ellowe narrated. After two year, the his nose and chin started to swell. He had an infection and people wouldn't recognize his previous appearance.

According to Dr. Gil Vicente of the Jose Reyes Memorial Medical Center, what was injected to Ellowe was not pure collagen. The substance granulated and hardened inside the victim's nose and chin and eventually caused swelling and damaged his skin. Ellowe sued Kachika for "illegal practice of medicine" last 2014 but the case is still pending. GMA Network's program entitled "Investigative Documentaries" searched for Kachika in Laguna where she performed the enhancement. They team tried to search but she was nowhere to be found. Kachika's mother and sister was found in a house in Laguna but her mom said that Kachika is staying in Bicol. "The Lord knows your fault that you claim to be a nurse and injecting collagen was your sideline to earn more money. The only thing I hope is for you to suffer and pay for what you've done to me," Ellowe said in an interview with GMA News.
